Cirencester Christmas Market 2026

Cirencester has no station of its own. The nearest is Kemble, managed by Great Western Railway, which Cotswolds Tourism lists as the station for Cirencester, with direct trains from London Paddington. Kemble is about 3.7 miles from the Market Place in a straight line (from the coordinates). The Stagecoach 882 bus runs from outside the station to Cirencester in 20 to 30 minutes, several times a day, so check the timetable for the day you travel. National Rail says Kemble has some step-free access to all platforms and no lifts.

Cotswold District Council runs the town's car parks. The Forum and Brewery car parks are the nearest to the Market Place, both with a three-hour top tariff. Abbey Grounds, Waterloo, Sheep Street and Old Station take stays of up to 10 hours. Charges apply 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am (noon at Abbey Grounds) to 6pm on Sunday. Trinity Road car park is free and open to the public from 7am to 7pm at weekends, which covers both market days. Machines take cards only, or you can pay with PayByPhone. Blue Badge holders park free for up to three hours at the Brewery and ten at the others listed. Prices read October 2026.

The Christmas Market is one of several festive markets on the Market Place. The larger Advent Market, with the light switch-on, is the weekend before: Saturday 28 November (10am to 6pm) and Sunday 29 November 2026 (9am to 5pm). The regular Charter Market is on Friday 4 December. After the market weekend, the Cirencester Christmas Tree Festival runs in the Parish Church of St John Baptist from 8 to 17 December, and the town council lists Christmas Gift Markets between 13 and 22 December.

Cirencester is compact: the Market Place is the middle of town and almost everywhere in the centre is within ten minutes on foot. With no station in town, visitors without a car usually stay centrally and use the bus from Kemble.
