Blenheim Palace Christmas Market 2026

Woodstock has no station. The event's FAQ gives the nearest as Long Hanborough (3 miles), Oxford Parkway (6.2 miles) and Oxford (9.1 miles). The palace says the quickest route from London is Chiltern Railways from Marylebone to Oxford Parkway and then the S7 bus. GWR trains from Paddington and Reading run to Oxford, for the S3 bus, and to Hanborough. Stagecoach's S3 and S7 together run four times an hour from Oxford, seven days a week, both starting at Oxford station. They stop outside the main entrance, from where it is a ten-minute walk through the park to the palace.

Parking is on the estate and is the one cost of a market-only visit. During Christmas at Blenheim Palace it is charged to every visitor, annual pass holders included, and has to be booked ahead. The event's FAQ gives £10.00 a car in advance and £12.00 on the day if any spaces are left (read October 2026), with fees applying after 10am. Blue Badge spaces are booked the same way at the same price. Visitors are told to use only the official car parks: parking in Woodstock and the roads around may bring a fine. Use postcode OX20 1UL for sat nav, and expect a 20mph limit across the estate.

The palace says there is level access from the main entrance to many areas and a lift into the state rooms. Accessible toilets are behind the gift shop, in the Churchill exhibition and at the Walled Gardens, which also has a Changing Places. Wheelchairs can be hired by contacting customer services at least 24 hours ahead, but the palace's mobility scooters are not hired out for the light trail; you can bring your own, fully charged. Quiet access sessions for the trail and the palace are on Tuesday 8 and Monday 28 December 2026, with a Mobiloo on site from 3.30pm. The palace warns that big events can change the accessible routes.

The market is one part of Christmas at Blenheim Palace, which runs from Friday 13 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, two weeks longer than the market. The Illuminated Trail through the gardens, the Cinderella displays in the state rooms, afternoon tea in the Orangery and The Great Skate, a covered ice rink in the Great Court, are each ticketed. The event's FAQ says you can skate, or go on the fairground rides with tokens, without a trail or palace ticket. There is an observation wheel too. Dogs are allowed on the trail only on eleven named dates, the first being Wednesday 18 November.

Blenheim is on the edge of Woodstock, and the town is the only place to stay within walking distance of the gates. The event's FAQ says visitors may walk into Woodstock between bookings and come back in. Otherwise most people stay in Oxford, eight miles away, and take the S3 or S7 bus, which stop outside the main entrance.
