Gloucester Quays Christmas Markets 2026

Gloucester station is the nearest, managed by Great Western Railway. Gloucester Quays says it is a 20 minute walk from the station to the outlet. It also says Gloucester bus station is a few minutes' walk from the railway station and has regular routes that stop directly outside the Quays. In a straight line the station is about 0.7 miles away (worked out from coordinates). National Rail lists step-free access to all platforms, with lifts.

Gloucester Quays has its own multi-storey with 1,400 spaces, open 24 hours a day. It is ticketless and cashless: you pay by QR code, at a pay on foot machine or at the exit. The outlet gives GL1 5SH as the sat nav postcode for the car park. In the daytime, 3am to 6pm, it costs £3.00 for up to two hours, £5.50 for two to four, £8.00 for four to six and £15.00 for six to 24 hours (read October 2026). There is a 2.1 metre height limit. Blue Badge holders get their first two hours free during shop opening hours if they show the badge at Customer Services. Coach groups are asked to book ahead by email.

Gloucester Quays publishes access details for the outlet as a whole, not for the market stalls. It says all the shops can be reached by wheelchair, there are lifts on every floor of the car park and accessible parking spaces near each entrance on every floor. Accessible toilets are in eight places, seven of them needing a RADAR key, with family changing on Level 1B and the ground floor. Wheelchairs are among the guest services, and the Customer Services desk, between Levi's and The North Face, is also the first aid point. Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the centre; the page does not say what applies at the outdoor stalls.

Gloucester Quays says its quieter times at weekends are from 10am to 12 noon, which is the first two hours of the market on both Saturdays and Sundays. It adds that there can be busy moments during its seasonal events. Its getting here page gives before 11am or after 4pm on weekdays as the quietest times for the outlet, but the markets only run at weekends.

The outdoor ice rink at Gloucester Quays runs from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, so it is open alongside the markets from the third weekend, 21 and 22 November. Tickets are booked online. The first two market weekends, 7 and 8 November and 14 and 15 November, come before the rink opens.

The Quays are at the southern end of Gloucester Docks, about ten minutes' walk from the city centre by the outlet's own reckoning. Anywhere around the docks, or in the centre near the cathedral, is within walking distance. The railway station is on the far side of the centre, about 20 minutes away on foot.
