Bournemouth Christmas Market 2026

Bournemouth station on Holdenhurst Road is the one to use. It is managed by South Western Railway. National Rail lists it as step-free category B2, meaning some step-free access to all platforms, so check the station page if you need a level route. The station is not in the town centre: The Square is about 0.8 miles away in a straight line, to the west. The event's organiser says only that there are connections from the station into the town centre and suggests checking your journey in advance at busy times.

There is no event car park; the organiser points to the public ones. The council car parks below are the town centre ones nearest The Square, all open 24 hours with charges at all times. Avenue Road and Richmond Gardens are the two large multi-storeys, and the council sends drivers to them when smaller car parks are full. Avenue Road and Richmond Gardens take card only, and Avenue Road had cash payments unavailable when we checked. Disabled spaces: 14 at Avenue Road, 11 at Winter Gardens, 3 at Central. The organiser publishes only general guidance. It says many of the outdoor areas have accessible routes and that wheelchairs and mobility scooters are welcome in the wider event areas, but that access varies between the bookable attractions, so check each one before booking. Accessible toilets are available within the event area. There is no dedicated accessible parking for the event; the council car parks nearby have disabled spaces. The market and the Alpine Lodge are cashless, so bring a card.

The market is one part of a wider programme in the town centre and Lower Gardens. The Festive Trail, a free light display running through the Lower Gardens to the seafront, is on from 12 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The outdoor ice rink in the Lower Gardens, SKATE Bournemouth, has the same dates. Glow Golf in the Lower Gardens runs from 12 November to 24 December 2026. Indoors, the Cool Coast Ice Rink at the Bournemouth International Centre is open from 28 November 2026 to 21 February 2027, and the Pavilion pantomime, Aladdin, runs from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.

The Square is the centre of town, with the Lower Gardens running from it down to the pier. Anywhere in the town centre, on the West Cliff or East Cliff near the gardens, or along the seafront by the pier is a short walk. The area around the railway station is further out, about 0.8 miles in a straight line, and Boscombe and Westbourne are a bus ride.
