Getting There and Parking
By Train
Leeds station opens on to City Square, where the main market stalls are: the station is about 0.1 miles from the middle of the square in a straight line. Millennium Square is further up through the centre. The station is managed by Network Rail and has step-free access to every platform. Visit Leeds lists LNER from London and Edinburgh, TransPennine Express from Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle, Northern on local and regional routes and CrossCountry from Birmingham and Bristol. Building work around the station entrance and City Square is still going on, so follow the signs inside the station and allow a little extra time.

Park and Ride
Leeds has three park and ride sites run by West Yorkshire Metro. Parking is free and you pay for the bus: £5 for an adult day ticket, or £3 if you travel after 1pm on a weekday, with up to three under-19s free with each paying adult (October 2026). Buses take 10 to 15 minutes. Temple Green runs on weekdays only. Elland Road has no Sunday service and does not run on Saturdays when Leeds United are at home. Stourton runs every day. Last buses back are around 8pm on weekdays and earlier at weekends, so check before an evening at the bars.

Parking
The council's main city centre car park is Woodhouse Lane multi-storey, open 24 hours, which Visit Leeds also names for designated accessible parking near Millennium Square. The council's smaller pay and display car parks at West Street and Maude Street charge from 8am to 10pm, with a flat £3.70 after 6pm. The council's price page gives no postcodes or space counts. Blue Badge bays are on Cookridge Street and elsewhere in the centre, shown on the council's disabled parking map. Roads around City Square and the station are being rebuilt, so the park and ride is the simpler choice for the City Square stalls.

Visit Leeds publishes no access details for the market stalls themselves. What it does give is for the Millennium Square end: the Ice Cube rink runs dedicated accessible skating sessions through the season, with Blue Badge parking on Cookridge Street and designated accessible spaces in Woodhouse Lane multi-storey. Leeds station has step-free access and lifts to all platforms, accessible toilets and staff help around the clock. Visit Leeds describes the centre as walkable with wheelchair accessible routes, and points to the Changing Places website for the nearest Changing Places toilets.
