Getting There and Parking
By Train
Glasgow Central is the nearest main line station, about 300 metres from St Enoch Square in a straight line (worked out from the coordinates, not a walking distance). The organiser says Central and Queen Street are both a short walk, and that the main entrance to the site is from Argyle Street. Central is managed by Network Rail and has step-free access to all platforms. Argyle Street station, on local lines, is beside the St Enoch Centre. St Enoch Subway station opens onto the square itself. The Subway runs 06:30 to 23:40 Monday to Saturday but only 10:00 to 18:12 on Sundays, so it stops before the market closes on a Sunday.

Park and Ride
SPT runs park and ride car parks at three Subway stations: Bridge Street, Kelvinbridge and Shields Road. A park and ride ticket, covering all-day parking and a return Subway journey, costs £8.15 (read October 2026). You take a ticket at the barrier and pay at the station ticket office. The car parks are open during Subway hours, and only Shields Road allows overnight parking. Bear in mind the early Sunday finish on the Subway. Other park and ride sites around Glasgow are at railway stations and are run by ScotRail. SPT's page gives no postcodes for the three car parks.

Parking
The closest car park is the St Enoch Centre's own, which opens onto the square and is run by Euro Car Parks with number plate cameras. It is open 07:30 to 02:00 every day and is cheaper on Sundays: £2.60 for up to an hour, then a flat £4 until 5pm (read October 2026). Q-Park Jamaica Street, which Q-Park describes as a short walk from the St Enoch Centre, is open round the clock and lists 18 disabled spaces, but Q-Park showed no tariff online when we looked. The council's own car park pages could not be opened on the day, so they are not listed here.

Accessibility
The organiser says the St Enoch site is fully accessible, including the festive bar, and that the observation wheel has an accessible capsule. There are toilets on site, including accessible ones. It does not publish anything about surfaces, quiet sessions or Changing Places for St Enoch. If you are coming by Subway, SPT says St Enoch station has lifts from street level to the concourse (at the south end) and on down to the platform, which is not true of every Subway station.

What Else Is On
The same organiser runs a second, larger site at Glasgow Green, open at selected times from Friday 20 November to Sunday 3 January. It has an open-air ice rink, a circus big top, an observation wheel and a Santa's grotto that runs until Christmas Eve. Entry there is free too, with rides and skating paid for separately. It closes on Christmas Day and opens from 2pm on 1 January. The organiser's pages give days and dates but no year; they match the 2026 calendar. Glasgow Life and Visit Glasgow had not published their 2026 Christmas programmes when we checked.

Where to Stay
St Enoch Square is at the south end of Buchanan Street, so anywhere in the central shopping area, the Merchant City or around Central and Queen Street stations is an easy walk on fairly level streets. The riverside along the Broomielaw is also close. The West End and Finnieston are too far to walk comfortably but are a few stops away on the Subway, which has a station on the square.
