Getting There and Parking

By Train

Aberdeen station, on Guild Street beside Union Square, is managed by ScotRail. ScotRail's station page lists timetables for the Glasgow and Edinburgh to Dundee and Aberdeen route and for the Inverness to Aberdeen line, and the council notes frequent local trains from Inverurie, Dyce, Stonehaven and Laurencekirk. Broad Street is about 0.4 miles north of the station in a straight line (worked out from the coordinates, not a walking distance). The station has step-free access to all platforms, lifts and accessible toilets.

Park and Ride

The council lists three park and ride sites, but only Kingswells, on the A944 west of the city, has a frequent bus. Stagecoach Bluebird services 5 and 6 call there about every 15 minutes in the daytime and take from 25 minutes to Union Square bus station, next to the railway station. Parking is free, and an Aberdeen City DayRider is £5.20 (October 2026). Bridge of Don has free parking too, but no local bus calls at the site itself: First and Stagecoach buses stop on Ellon Road, a short walk away. Craibstone has no bus service at present.
